Made from traditional Rathasaali (Rakthasali) red rice, this 3-in-1 instant flour is tuned for soft idiyappam, smooth kolukattai, and fluffy puttu—without roasting or grinding at home. Just add hot water, shape or press, and steam.

About Rathasaali (Rakthasali) Rice
Rathasaali (also spelled Rakthasali / Rakthashali) is an ancient medicinal red rice mentioned in Ayurvedic texts like the Charaka Samhita:

How to Use (Simple Steps)
For Puttu (Black Rice Puttu)

Take required mix in a bowl.

Add warm/hot water little by little and mix to a wet, crumbly texture.

In a puttu kutti, layer grated coconut, then the rice mix, then more coconut.

Steam for 8–10 minutes.

Unmould and serve hot with kadala curry, stew, or sambar.
For Kolukattai / Kozhukattai

Mix flour with hot water and a pinch of salt to form a soft, pliable dough.

Pinch small portions, flatten, and fill with sweet (jaggery–coconut) or savory stuffing.

Shape into rounds or half-moons.

Steam for 8–10 minutes.

Serve warm as breakfast or evening snack.
For Idiyappam (Black Rice String Hoppers)

Mix flour with boiling water and salt to a smooth, non-sticky dough.

While still warm, load into an idiyappam press.

Press in spiral layers onto greased idli/idiyappam plates.

Sprinkle grated coconut (optional).

Steam for 10–12 minutes on medium flame.

Serve hot with stew, kurma, or coconut milk
